This website, a source of ongoing information about the project, goes live on 22nd November 2010.

Project newsletter : 24th Nov 2010

A newsletter is being sent out week beginning 22nd November to all residents who live within approximately 3km of the proposed wind farm site. This is to provide more detailed information about the proposal, and the public exhibition on the 1st December at Roade Bowls Club, we hope you find it useful. Public Exhibition : 1st Dec 2010

A public exhibition was held on Wednesday 1st December, 2pm to 8pm at Roade Bowls Club, The Leys, Roade.  Despite the cold weather we estimate that over 100 people attended to view what was on offer, and to ask questions.  If you were unable to attend, please contact us (details here) and we will send you an information pack.

This figure shows the current wind farm developments in the area at Planning stage and beyond.

This map shows the locations of the viewpoints from which the photo-montages displayed at the public exhibition were created. ZTV stands for Zone of Theoretical Visibility. It is created using land height data, and does not take into consideration screening from hedges, trees, buildings and the like.

Presentation at Caroline Chisholm School : 5th Apr 2011

Alastair Smith and George Blanchard of Wind Prospect gave a short presentation to a geography class at the Caroline Chisholm School near Wootton.  A copy of the PowerPoint presentation to the students can be provided on request.

Hartwell Annual Parish Meeting : 26th May 2011

Alastair Smith and George Blanchard of Wind Prospect attended Hartwell's Annual Parish Meeting to give an update on progress, and to present the revised plans of nine 90 metre high turbines.

Sponsorship of Northampton Mens Own RFC

Wind Prospect are pleased to announce kit sponsorship of Northampton Mens Own RFC for the 2011/12 season.  Club news, information, fixtures and results can be found on the club's website here.  We wish everyone at the club the best of luck for the coming season!

Northampton Mens Own RFC is a good example of the kind of local organisation that can benefit from development of the proposed M1 Wind Farm.  

However, please note that Wind Prospect's sponsorship of the club in no way implies that either the club as a whole or individual members support the M1 Wind Farm proposal.  Wind Prospect fully respect individuals' right to form their own opinions about the M1 Wind Farm, we seek only to support a worthwhile local organisation near to our proposal.
