The layout of the proposed M1 Wind Farm has been revised to comprise of nine smaller 1.3MW turbines up to 90m in height, with towers up to 60m, rather than the six, 2MW 100m turbines that were previously suggested. The revised layout reduces the impact on nearby heritage assets, aids in reducing visibility of the turbines in the surrounding area and secures a 200 metre buffer for bridleway users around the turbines. Although more numerous, with the new layout, the turbines are within the same site area as the original six turbine layout.
